Charlton’s Forester 5 Bar Gate is a traditional wooden field gate built for strength, durability, and everyday use in agricultural and rural settings. Commonly used as field gates, entrance gates, and countryside gates, this versatile design helps secure your space while maintaining a classic finish.
Manufactured from slow-grown, pressure-treated softwood, this five-bar field gate is built to perform reliably in outdoor conditions. The pressure-treated design helps to protect against decay, insect attack, and everyday weathering.
The universal design allows the gate to be hung from either end, giving you flexibility on installation without needing separate right and left-hand versions. We recommend hanging these gates on 150mm x 150mm (6×6) posts.
Standing at 4ft high and available in standard stock sizes from 3ft to 12ft, this planed gate suits a wide range of openings. Built using traditional joinery, including mortice and tenon joints, it provides long-term strength with a clean, professional finish.
