Graded to C24 standards, carcassing timber provides excellent structural integrity with fewer knots and imperfections compared to lower-grade C16 timber, making it an ideal choice for construction and framing applications. Most common applications include floor joists, roof joists, decking frames, stud walls, and general outdoor building work.
The pressure treatment helps to extend the life of the timber by protecting it against rot, fungal decay, and insect attack, allowing it to perform reliably and consistently in exposed areas and high-moisture environments. The regularised finish also provides cleaner edges and a more uniform sizing, helping to make installation quicker and easier on-site.
