Our 4” x 2” C24 Carcassing Timber is a strong and reliable structural timber designed for demanding framing and building projects. Manufactured from high-quality softwood, it’s kiln-dried and pressure-treated for added strength, stability, and long-term outdoor durability. Compared to C16 timber, C24 carcassing timber is much stronger and structurally stable, containing fewer knots and defects, making it better suited to load-bearing applications.
Ideal for many structural applications, C24 carcassing timber is most commonly used for timber framing, decking, floor and roof joists, external timber work, and general construction projects where superior strength is required.
All our C24 timber is kiln-dried for improved moisture resistance and pressure-treated for long-lasting outdoor durability. The pressure treatment helps to protect the timber against rot, fungi, and insect attack, making it ideal for long-term use in demanding, exposed environments.
